This Cinderella-themed float took top honors in the 2008 edition of the Meadowbrook Children's Parade.
The Children's Parade in June is a favorite event among kids of all ages, having been held annually since the early 1930s. Each year a theme is established and neighborhood children enjoy dressing up and marching along. Participants often include a fire engine or ambulance, and the French Road School band traditionally leads the way.
Long followed by a neighborhood picnic under a tent, today the parade ends with an ice cream social and entertainment provided by a popular children's band or entertainer.
This year's parade is slated for Saturday, June 3rd, 2017; assemble at 10:45 AM at the corner of Antlers and Newton; parade begins at 11 AM; you may join the parade at any point you wish. The Ice Cream Social and entertainment will be in front of 446 Antlers Drive immediately after the parade.
Our theme for 2017 is "Halloween in June".
