Tame Your Recycling Bin

We think that Monroe County's expanded recylcing program is great, but there's a downside: the contents of your over-filled recycling bin is more likely than ever to become wind-blown litter.

Noreen Kelley Riordan, a Rochester-area inventor, offers a solution: the Rnet Recycling Bin Cover. Rnet is an elastized mesh net cover that expands to cover an over-filled recycling bin to keep the contents contained on trash day. Because it's attached to the bin with adhesive-backed Velcro, it's easy for the waste hauler to peel back to expose the recyclables, yet it doesn't get separated from the recycling bin. The attached storage pocket keeps the cover out of the way between trash days.
